Callista B Zastenchik a former resident of North Tarrytown and Ossining passed away Wednesday August 8, 2012.
Callista was born in North Tarrytown on January 5, 1921 and was the daughter of Joseph T. and Ellen (Nevins) Burns. She was 91.
Callista was a graduate of Sleepy Hollow High School and she was married on June 16, 1946 when her fiancé Anthony returned from WWII.
She was a former bookkeeper at Phelps Memorial Hospital and a former communicant of St. Ann’s Church and worked many years at Bingo. She also logged over 5,000 hours as a volunteer at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL.
Mrs. Zastenchik is survived by her sons Eugene, Columbus, GA, David (Raffaella) and her granddaughter Corrine.
Funeral Mass Friday 2:00pm at St. Ann’s Church. Interment Private.
