Sarah S. (Seckler) Kaufman

Sarah S. (Seckler) Kaufman July 08 1912 - March 14, 2010 Sarah S. (Seckler) Kaufman, formerly of White Plains, NY passed away Sunday March 14, 2010 in Arlington VA. Sarah was born in Boston, MA, on July 08 1912 and was the daughter of Samuel Lewis Seckler and Ida (Weiner) Seckler. She graduated from Maxwell Teachers Training School in 1933, and received her Master of Science in Education degree from SUNY(New Patlz) in 1969. She taught 5th and 6th grade in the White Plains School district for over 25 years. She also was a Master Rosarian. She married Charles S. Kaufman on February 10, 1934. Mr. Kaufman died on March 13, 2003. She is survived by her 2 sons Richard and Roger, and her daughter Eleanor Mahler, five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visiting will be Thursday from 12Noon to 1PM at Dorsey Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
