Gloria J Garrett April 6, 1940 - September 14, 2009 Gloria J Garrett a resident of Buchanon & formerly of Ossining passed away Monday Sept 14, 2009. Gloria was born in Manhattan on April 6, 1940 and was the daughter of Louis & Gloria (Dwyer) Caposella. She was 69. Gloria graduated in the 1st Class of Sleepy Hollow High School in 1958. Received her Nursing degree at Phelps Hospital & spent her career at Phelps & other area medical facilities. She was passionate for knitting and sewing and was the former owner of stores on Main & N. Highland Ave. in Ossining. Gloria is survived by her mother Gloria Caposella; her sister Laurette (John) Zelyez; 5 children Richard (Jacqueline), Donna (Tim) Garrett, Kenneth (Darlene), Patrick, Daniel (Olivia); 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Louis & her former husband Joseph Richard. Visiting hours will be held at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossinuing Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm with the Funeral Mass Friday at 10 am at St. Augustine Church, Ossining. Interment St. Augustine Cemetery.
