John Paul Schwer July 19, 1934 - September 11, 2009 John Paul Schwer, Ossining, New York A resident of Ossining, NY formerly of Tarrytown, New York died on Friday, September 11, 2009. John was born in Tarrytown, New York on July 19, 1934 to the late Joseph Schwer and Evelyn Tidabach. He graduated from Sleepy Hollow High School and served with the U.S. Marine Corp. John was an electrician and a member of IBEW 501 for forty years. He was a Master Mason. He married the late Lillian C. Reich of Tarrytown, New York and relocated to Ossining, where he lived for 51 years. John was a member of St. Ann's Parish donating his time and expertise to the electrical work. He enjoyed, sailing, restoration of vintage cars and gardening. He is survived by his second wife Luz M. Llerena, who he married in June 2007. Surviving him are daughters, Deborah Schwer of Lancaster, SC, Antoinette Banner of Poughkeepsie, NY and son-in-law, Honorable Paul Banner. His siblings are Joseph Schwer of PA, Carol Carpenter of Patterson, NY, Donald Schwer of Hopewell Junction, NY and, Evelyn Gianotto of Albuquerque, NM. The funeral mass was celebrated at 10am Wed, Sept 16 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with burial following at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining handled the funeral arrangements.
