Theresa Venuto

Theresa Venuto August 1, 1924 - September 4, 2009 Theresa Venuto, 85 of Ossining and formerly of Zephyrhills, FL. Passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on September 4, 2009. Born August 1, 1924 in Ardsley to Giovanni and Elizabeth Longhi, Theresa graduated from Ossining High in 1942 and then Western Union Telegraph School, where she worked as a communications operator. Later she was employed by the Ossining School system. In 1946 she married Anthony Venuto of Dobbs Ferry, who predeceased her in June, 2000. Theresa is survived by two children, Linda (Gary) Caporuscio of Wappinger Falls and Anthony (Andrea) of Ossining, as well as five grand-children, Christian and Gary Caporuscio and Adrian, Anthony and Alexandra Venuto. A sister, Philomena Semberger, and several nieces and nephews. Theresa took pleasure in the simple things, like baking pizzelles and visiting with family and friends. She was a loving, kind friend to all that knew her. Calling hours will be held Monday 2-6pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday 10:00 St. Ann's Church, Ossining. Interment at St. Augustine Cemetery.
