William P. Monks, Sr. (Billy) June 23, 1949 - August 12, 2009 William P. Monks, Sr. (Billy) - of Ossining died Wednesday August 12, 2009. Billy was born in Ossining on June 23, 1949 and was the son of the late William F. & Jeanette (Balassone) Monks. He was 60. Billy was a graduate of Ossining High School, a Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion, Parker Bale Post. He is survived by his longtime companion Carol White; his children William P. Jr. and Wade: his sisters Georgina Rocha and Marilyn Krebser; his grandchildren Myya and Anthony; many nieces and nephews and his dog Zeus. He was predeceased by his parents and his nephew Joey Rocha. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with the funeral service at the funeral home at 8:00 PM Friday. The interment will be private. There will be a celebration of Billy's life on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Ossining Moose Lodge, Croton Ave., Ossining.
