John J. Gerosa January 28, 1927 - June 4, 2009 John J. Gerosa ­ A former longtime Ossining resident passed away Thursday June 4, 2009. John was born in Ossining on January 28, 1927 and was the son of James and Ann (Trapanese) Gerosa. He was 82. John was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS St. Paul. John was a retired custodian at the Ossining High School and a honorary member of Holla Hose Co. of the Ossining Fire Dept. John is survived by three sisters: Gloria of Accord NY, MaryAnn (Arnold) DeMartino, and Gail (Robert) Knapp of Hopewill Junction and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 2-6 pm with the funeral mass Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Ann's Church. Interment St. Augustine Cemetery.
