Thomas P. Farmer February 24, 2009 - July 30, 1937 Thomas P. Farmer a former longtime resident of Ossining and a resident of Cortlandt Manor passed away Tuesday February 24, 2009 at Rosary Hill. On his last journey, he was surrounded by the love and care of his children. Tom was born on July 30, 1937 in Watertown, NY to Sylvester and Anne (Mooney) Farmer. He was 71. Mr. Farmer served in the Army as a Military Police Officer from 1957 to 1963; he was stationed in Verdon, France. While in France he met then married his beloved wife Danielle I. Chuimert Farmer, who predeceased his in 1997. In 1961 Tom returned to West Point and was honorably discharged with the rank of SGT. In 1963. Tom then moved to Ossining where he lived for 43 years. Mr. Farmer worked for General Motors in N. Tarrytown for 30 years. He was an avid Yankee and Giant Fan. Mr. Farmer is survived by his four children, his son Patrick (Cindy) of Yorktown, his daughters Carol (Al) Jimolka of Yorktown, Corrine (Frank) Pecoraro of Mahopac, and Veronica (Dwayne) Tabacchi of Mahopac; his brothers Daniel (Sally) of Watertown, NY, Patrick (Patricia) of Natural Bridge, NY; Brother-in-law Michael Brady of Liverpool, NY; sisters-in-laws Irene Farmer of Watertown, NY, Paula Farmer of Irvington, Elizabeth Elwood) Buck of Niagara Falls and Pierette Pinchard of Suippes, France.; He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren: Nicole, Kimberly, Carolyn and Leanne Farmer, Brian Erik, Michael Jimolka, Danielle and Melissa Pecoraro and Alyison, Thomas and Christopher Tabacchi. In addition to his beloved wife Danielle and his parents Mr. Farmer was predeceased by his brothers Michael and Terrence, his sister Maryann Brady and his bother-in-laws Albert Chimer and Roger Pinchard. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 Pm with Funeral Mass on Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. Ann's Church, 25 Eastern Ave., Ossining NY 10562, the interment will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Ossining.
