Arlene Gwin December 14, 1925 - December 23, 2008 Arlene Gwin a resident of Peekskill and formerly of Glendale Queens died Tuesday December 23, 2008. Arlene was born in Brooklyn on December 14th 1925 and was the daughter of Herman Anna (Schmidt) Merkel. She was 83. Arlene was a retired dietician with the NY City Board of Education and served at Russel Sage Junior High School. She is survived by her son James (Laura), 3 granddaughters Elizabeth and Jennifer Gwin and Stephanie Grant; her great grandson Christopher Grant. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, her son Robert Jr. and her sister Margaret Leimer. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Pl., Ossining. The services will be held on Saturday 10:00 AM at the Funeral home Chapel.
