Donato (Danny) Traditi, Sr. April 25, 1930 - December 3, 2008 Donato (Danny) Traditi, Sr. a longtime resident of Ossining passed away on Wednesday December 3, 2008. Danny was born in Ossining on April 25, 1930 and was the son of Ercole and Elvira (Mazzaferro) Traditi. He was 78. Danny was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was the former owner of Curran's Market and retired as the head of security of Scarborough Manor in 1995. He was a member of the Ossining Fire Dept. Ossining Hose Co. # 96 for over 50 years and a founding member of the Ossining Booster Club. Danny was a former longtime member of St. Augustine's Church. Danny is survived by his wife Marie: his children Sharon, Teresa (Kenny) Donato, Cathy (Pete) DiSisto, Donny (Tara), Dennis (Chrissy); his daughter in law Deborah Traditi; his sister Dora Calabro; his brother Frank; his 18 loving grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Danny was predeceased by his son Danny Jr. on Sept. 26, 2004 and his brother Philip (FooFoo). Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday and Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM at Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining with the Funeral Mass on Saturday at St. Augustine's Church in Ossining.
