Joseph R. Thompson March 10, 1947 - November 30, 2008 Joseph R. Thompson - a longtime resident of Valley Cottage passed away Sunday November 30, 2008. Joseph was born on March 10, 1947 and was the son of the late Joseph R. and Marie (Trafford) Thompson. He was 61. Joseph attended Mt. Vernon schools. He was a former distributor for Joyce Beverage and a former distributor for Pepperidge Farm Cookies. Joseph is survived by his wife Linda (Sylvester); his sons Christopher F. and Joseph R. of Pomona; his sisters Kathy (Joseph) Cardinuto of Haverstraw and Mina (Michael) Sylvestri of North Salem and many loving relatives and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM with the services at the funeral home Tuesday 8:00 PM. The interment will be private.
