Mary V. Maresco Born into eternal life on Friday November 21, 2008 Mary V. Maresco was born into eternal life on Friday November 21, 2008 at the age of 97. She is pre-deceased by her husband Ralph, her parents Mary and Dominick Silvestri, and her sister Virginia Silvestri. She is survived by her son Ralph, and his wife Martha, grandchildren Karen, Matthew, and Michelle and 6 great-grandchildren. Mary was a member of St. Ann Church. She served as the treasurer of St. Ann's Sodality, a founding member of the Altar Society, and chair of the bingo committee. She and her husband Ralph sold Christmas trees, wreaths and blankets from their Waller Ave. home for many years. Some of her greatest pleasures were her grandchildren, working the pizza fritta booth at the yearly feast of St. Ann and baking stacks of cookies for the holidays. She was well known as the proprietor of the Ossining Sports Center and Mary's Cotton Shop, both located on Spring Street in the years gone by. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Church (914-941-2556). The Internment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Ossining. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Phelps Hospice 701 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, and NY 10591.
