John E. (Buddy) Tobin February 6, 1931 - November 22, 2008 John E. (Buddy) Tobin a lifelong resident of Ossining passed away on Saturday November 22, 2008. John was born in Ossining on February 6, 1931 and was the son of John and Margaret (Malone) Tobin. He was 77. John as a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War, a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Ossining. He was a member of the Washington Hook & Ladder Co. for over 50 years and a member of the teamsters Local 456 and a former employee of National Plumbing. John is survived by his wife Eileen; his children Carol (Bill) Duffy, James, John (Cathleen), Kevin, Margaret (Raymond) Edwards, Arlene (Joel) Shoemaker; his stepchildren Stephen (Mary) Smith, Scott (Deborah) Smith and Sharon (Jeffrey) Schuknecht; his brother Joseph (Audrey); 22 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Frances (Rotella), his brother Arthur and his son John E. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM with the funeral mass on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine's Church. The interment will follow at Dale Cemetery.
