Carmen F. Cardinale October 4, 1919 - November 2, 2008 Carmen F. Cardinale an Ossining native died Sunday November 2, 2008. Carmen was born in Ossining on October 4, 1919 and was the son of Joseph and Maria Annina (DiMartino) Cardinale. He was 89. Carmen was a corporal in the Army during WW II and was attached with the 633rd Field Artillery. He was the former owner/operator of Cardinale Meat Market in Ossining. After closing Cardinale's he worked in the commissary at West Point. Carmen loved to play and watch both baseball, golf and bowling. He was a former longtime member of the Ossining Fire Dept, Holla Hose Co.. Mr. Cardinale is survived by his wife Christina; his children Joseph (Rosa), Anna (Roy) Ellingsen and Nancy (Paul) Stokes; his grandchildren Heather & Jessica Eisenberg, Casey Ryan and Jacqui Stokes, Carmen, Michael & Christopher Cardinale. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with the funeral mass on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at St. Ann's Church. The interment followed at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Ossining.
