John Koenig August 17th, 1942 - July 28, 2008 John Koenig, age 65, of Ossining NY died suddenly on July 28, 2008. He was born August 17th, 1942 in Kearney NJ to Otto and Helen Koenig. He was a graduate of Fairfield University, Georgetown Law School, Harvard Business School and was in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969 serving in Vietnam as a news correspondent. He worked in the secondary mortgage market for most of his career. He was most proud of his tenure as Commissioner of AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) in Ossining that he took from a small informally run organization and led it to one of the most recognized programs in the lower NY area as well as championing the girl�s soccer program that continues to today.John is survived by his wife Joan Mason Koenig and his three children Stephanie, Amanda, and Mark Koenig. Visiting hours will be held at Dorsey Funeral Home Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday 10:00 am at St. Theresa�s Church, 1394 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510.
