John T. Jones Jr. November 27, 1921 - June 6, 2008 John T. Jones Jr. (Tom) a longtime resident of Ossining passed away Sunday July 6, 2008 at the Valley Hospital Center. Tom was born in Merrimac, MA on November 27, 1921 and was the son of John T. and Theresa B (Buckley) Jones Sr. He was 86. Tom was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a retired general maintenance person at General Motors in North Tarrytown. He was also a former tax preparer for H&R Block and a volunteer tax preparer with AARP for over 15 years. He was a former longtime member of the St. Augustine's Parish in Ossining. Tom was predeceased by his wife the former Helen A Modesta on August 19, 2007. There will be no visiting hours. A funeral mass will be held Friday, 10:00 am at Holy Name of Mary Parish, 110 Grand St., Croton, NY 10520. The interment will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements will be handled by Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 785 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY 10605 would be appreciated.
