James M. Crandell December 04, 1948 - March 06, 2004 JAMES M. CRANDELL- "BEANIE"- James Crandell 55, known to his friends as "Beanie" a 16-year resident of Poughkeepsie, NY and a former resident of Croton on Hudson and Valhalla, died March 6th, 2004 at his home surrounded by friends and family after battling cancer for the past year. Beanie was parts manager at Frank Chevrolet in Tarrytown, NY and had a passion for restoring classic cars and riding his Harley. Born in White Plains, NY December 4th, 1948, he was the son of Dorothy E. Chapman Crandell of Hawthorne, NY and Melvin Crandell of Glens Falls, NY. He graduated from Westlake High School in Thornwood, NY in 1966. Beanie was married for 18 years to his wife Joanne who survives him at home. Survivors include: Wife Joanne Kyte Crandell of Poughkeepsie, NY, formerly of Ossining, NY, his Mother Dorothy E. Crandell of Hawthorne, NY, Father Melvin Crandell of Glens Falls, NY, a host of family and a very large circle of friends. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Church in Ossining, 914-941-0067. The interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
