Adele M. Quinn

Adele M. Quinn June 29, 1921 - March 30, 2008 Adele M. Quinn of Ossining died on March 30, 2008. She was born on June 29, 1921, in Vancouver, Canada, to Ida Mae and Philip Marsden, Esq., where she attended public and private schools and the University of British Columbia. She then did nurses training at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada. On February 12, 1949, she and Hugh Quinn were married in Christ Church Cathedral in Montreal. Hugh died in 1981. They lived in Quebec, Pennsylvania, and upstate New York, before moving to Ossining in 1964. They became naturalized American Citizens in the 1960's. Adele was active in nursing and real estate until retirement. She attended Trinity Episcopal Church, Ossining, serving on the Vestry for many years. She also was very active in the Ossining Food Pantry. Her interests included flying, skiing, tennis, gardening, bridge, handcrafts and cooking. Survivors include two cousins, several nieces and nephews, a grand-niece, God-daughters Krista and Jane, and many close friends. Her only sibling, a brother, died in 2000. Donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 7 S. Highland Ave., Ossining NY 10562. A requiem mass will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 10:30am.
