Bertha (Bea/Nana) Marino May 3, 1920 - August 24, 2007 Bertha (Bea/Nana) Marino, nee Craig - a resident of Ossining and PEI died Friday, August 24, 2007. Bea was born in Queens, NY on May 3, 1920 and was the daughter of George and Estelle Craig. Bea was the loving wife of 62 years to Dominic (Nick/Poppy) Marino. Devoted mother of Irene Fatigati (Anthony Tolentino), Tom (Vanessa) Marino, Andy (Dianne) Marino, the late George (Donna) Marino, Kathy (Steve) Buckley, Stella (Fran) Erigo, Nick (Betsy) and Florence (Rob) Anagnostopoulos. Nana visited, photographed and thoroughly enjoyed her 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was an active combat WAAC veteran of World War II. She devoted her considerable energy to bettering education and the civil rights of children through the PTA and was a Special Ed Para in NYC. Bea was ahead of her time in so many ways: conservation, organic gardening, healthy lifestyle and vitamins. Visiting Hours will be held Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Church, Ossining (941-0167). The interment will follow at Dale Cemetery in Ossining.
